– Archaeological Museum of Patras

The Museum is conveniently located close to University of Patras. For more information please visit

– The Mycenean Park of Voudeni

It is also conveniently located at a 10 minutes drive from the University and 5 minutes  drive from the Museum and it extends over an area of about 200 acres, where the visitor can wander through visiting Mycenaean tombs and walk to the ruins of the ancient settlement on the neighboring hill.

– Roman and Medieval Aqueduct

– Archaeological Castle of Patras

Very close to the Aqueduct, at the top of a hill is the Castle of Patra which dominates the surrounding area, and from where the visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the Patraikos Gulf.

– Old City Walk

From the Castle, you can have a wonderful taste of the old city back in time, by descending the stairways of St. Nicholas Street, discovering the amazing old cosmopolitan houses of the 19th century witch were built at a time when Patra was a major trade crossroad of raisins. – Roman Stadium

At the lower end of the stairways of St. Nicholas Street, at Ifaistos Street, you will find ruins of the Roman Stadium, a building where both gladiator duel sand artistic events took place in the past.

– Roman Odeon

Around the same area at Pateos street, you will find yourself at the Roman Odeon of the city, which together with the Stadium would be the «entertainment zone» at Roman times. – Winery of Achaia Clauss

The lovers of good wine, can have a taste of the local wine production at the historic Winery of Achaia Clauss, which operates in Patra from 1861 until today. It was founded by the Bavarian businessmen Gustav Clauss and it is located just 8km from the center of Patras. – Rio Fortress

This fortress is located at the north tip of the Rio peninsula, at the entrance of the Corinthian Gulf. The Rio-Antirio Bridge is located next to it, and the local ferry docks lie on either side. Today it is used for cultural purposes, especially concerts and is a tourist attraction.
