1. Best Greek M.Sc. Thesis Award:

The National Contest for the best Greek Master Thesis in Science of Condensed Matter and Materials for the year 2019 will be held in Patras within the framework of the 34th Panhellenic Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science which will take place from 11 to14 September 2019, The Award winner will represent HSSTCM at the FEMS Competition for the best European M.Sc. Thesis that will be held in the junior EUROMAT  2020 conference in Granada, Spain.The travel expenses and registration fees for the participation in the junior EUROMAT 2020 Congress, will be covered by HSSTCM and FEMS. 2. Financial Support for young scientists to attend the conference

The HSSTCM will cover the registration fees for the participation of 10 M.Sc. students and 10 Ph.D. candidates (in Greek Universities/Research Institutes) in the 34th Panhellenic Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science.

Apply to hsstcm@gmail.com till the 12th of July, 2019. Eligible applicants are M.Sc. students and Ph.D. candidates who

– are members of HSSTCM,

– have submitted abstract for oral or poster presentation in the Conference.

Priority will be given to the applicants who have accepted abstracts and did not benefit from financial support from HSSTCM for their participation in the 33rd Panhellenic Conference that took place in Cyprus as well as to those with better position in the author list of the submitted abstract. In case of many applications, a draw will be conducted. Certification from the University/Research Institute that verifies the status of the applicant is necessary.
